“Dr. Brownstein exemplifies the highest standards
of clinical professionalism and dedication to geriatrics-focused
pharmacy practice—standards
that all CGPs share and embrace,” Wallace said.
Dr.
Brownstein is currently Executive Director, NCS Healthcare; and
President, SeniorCare Strategies, LLC. She
has worked tirelessly
to promote the value of the CGP credential—both inside and
outside her own organization and to members of the other health
professions. She currently serves as Chair of the CCGP Examination
Development Committee and has participated as a panel member at
several CCGP workshops. She has served on the ASCP Board of Directors
and is a member of the Board of Directors of the National Parkinson’s
Foundation in Arizona. “The contributions of this year’s
recipient to the overall vision and mission of CCGP and to the
profession of senior care are certainly deserving of this prestigious
award,” notes Wallace.
The sponsor of the award, AstraZeneca, will contribute
a $2,500 educational grant in Brownstein’s name to the University
of Arizona College of Pharmacy, Brownstein’s alma mater.
