The examination is delivered by computer at over 150 AMP Assessment Centers geographically located throughout the United States, Canada, and Australia. There will be 4 testing windows when the exam will be given: January/February, April/May, July/August, and October/November. Application deadlines for each window are: 12/15- January/February,3/15 - April/May, 6/15 - July/August, and 9/15 - October/November. The examination is administered by appointment only Monday through Friday at 9:00 A.M. and 1:30 P.M. Available dates are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Once an Application has been submitted, the candidate will be permitted to schedule an exam date in two consecutive windows. For example, a candidate who submits an application by the April deadline can schedule an exam in either the April/May or July/August window.

Failing to schedule and take an exam in one of the two consecutive windows will result in the Application being placed in 'Inactive' status. In order to reactivate the application, the candidate will need to pay a $100.00 (USD) activation fee. The rules for scheduling and taking the exam will apply - missing two consecutive windows will again result in the application being designated as 'inactive'.
